Condo assn. president arrested
The president of a Jeffersonville [Indiana] condo association has been arrested in connection with a disputed election of officers.

Last month, Fox 41 News showed exclusive video of Ken Quiggins allegedly taking ballots from under the door of a neighbor at the Harbours Condominiums.

That neighbor, Vicki Hack, was running for a spot on the condo board and filed a criminal complaint against Quiggins.

Hack installed a surveillance camera because of concerns that fraud had occurred in the past to control who was elected to the condo board.

Quiggins was arrested Monday on a criminal conversion theft charge following an investigation by Jeffersonville Police.
I suppose such an incident demonstrates just how personally some people take their positions of power [even minor positions], and the lengths they will go to to retain that power.

Lord Acton could be right, indeed.

I wonder if he is related to Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich?

Studies show that 5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions

How desperate can this guy be. Control Freak comes to mind and sore loser and paranoid? Thief for certain. If I was that association, I would check on any other matters that he may have had access to--like money funds.

George,
Didn't you post this before? I have seen the video of this "Biug Brother" taking the ballots or votes from a specific residence.

Anyhow, If you link as highkighted show that video and story, I can get to it from clicking on" "condo association president arrested.". Of course I could be screwing thing up.

Is this a follow up story? Would like to read it.

Also what did Lord Acton do or say? Is this, " Power corrupts and absolute Power corrupts absolutely?"

The original post was not mine. The original article can be found here:

IN: Condo plagued by controversial homeowners association election (watch video)
People moved into The Harbours for luxury living on the Ohio River. But some of them have been moving out and more want to after last night's homeowners association board election.

George,
I took the rime to check out the Website of The Harbours Condominiums in Louisville Indiana.

Nice site and seems professional. I may have missed it but I saw no information anywhere that references this court business.
Even a page that deals with prospective buyer information doesn't have a word. Apparently converted appartments to condo in 2000 and turned over in 2004. Seems to be some problem with owners want to reassess condo fees, annual meeting on 23 Jan 09.

Robert, I live about 10 miles from this place.

It's directly across the river from our downtown metro area.

There was only scant news about it locally.

But I know the apartments, now condos.

Michele,
Wonder how this can make the TV news at one time and fade to nothing so quickly?

I hope it is because some folks are sitting down at the table to make some concession and get the train back on the track as opposed to both fractions, or how ever many involved, are eaqch sitting at the lawyers desk writing out checks, especially the present BOD writing association checks.

Nice to see Joanne (another post) is starting to open the door a little.

I dunno, Robert.

Must have been a slow news day for the Fox affiliate and not for anyone else.

But factions or not, you just don't go stealing ballots.

He was arrested after a police investigation.

It wasn't like they were siding with a faction, they just deal in the law, not condo gossip.

Anyway, I'm still digging around locally to see what's up.
