I'M A NEW BOARD MEMBER AND PRESIDENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO OPEN MEETINGS, PROCEDURES, AND CLOSING MEETINGS. THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IS NOT VERY HELPFUL. aNY SUGGESTIONS. I'M ON THE SAME BOARD AS KEVINB6 FROM IL. AND HE ALSO POST QUESTIONS HERE.

Debbie, if you're going to chair the meeting you would gavel (if you have one, we don't) and announce the meeting is called to order. This is followed by the minutes of the last meeting and a motion to either accept them or change them and a vote. Then comes the treasurers report. Followed by old business, new business with motions for action made, seconded and voted on. Then a motion to close and you are done. You can Google Parliamentary Procedures and find a wealth of articles on the subject.

On the left side of this page you will find an area highlighted in yellow. Click on CAN link and select Library. Look at left hand column and down below in formation on states look for :Board meetings". That should spell out what you want.
