Hello again all,
I was wondering...if minutes were read in the open session and several board members wanted to table the minutes to the executive session for corrections and the corrections were not discussed or corrected in the executive session, do they stand as read in the open session?
Your speedy relpy to this is appreciated.
Mary in Texas.

Minutes from an open session meetings are read and approved or amended in open session.

Minutes from a closed executive session are usually only read in closed session

No Mary, just reading minutes doesn't count as approving them. They are not official until approved.

MInutes are not approved until a motion is made, seconded and passed to approve them.

Just wanted to send out a reminder that executive session happenings(in California at least) have to be mentioned in open session. i.e. Agenda Topic 3. Last Month's Executive Session - "The Board discussed the dicipline of a member," or "The Board reviewed a proposal from ABC roofing and has asked the management company to gather two additonal proposals for the Board review."
