Who does(A) below refer to? Does "signed" by mean his signature (handwritten)?

For purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply:

(A) "Proxy" means a written authorization signed by a member or the authorized representative of the member that gives another member or members the power to vote on behalf of that member.

(B) "Signed" means the placing of the member's name on the proxy (whether by manual signature, typewriting, telegraphic transmission, or otherwise) by the member or authorized representative of the member.

In (B), What does "member's name" the California Civil Code below on elections refer to when it talks about "Signed"? Is it the name of the proxyholder, not the homeowner who is designating who can vote for him or her? Also, can the person who designates his representative to vote for him/her type his name or must he sign (handwritten) it?

Signed by the person giving the proxy and yes from what you posted they can type the name which IMHO would make too easy to forge.

Studies show that 5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions
