I have read that the members of a HOA can request the Association be placed in a court receivership until such time as it can once again do business.

Who do we 'contact' to start this process? How much does this cost? what is involved?

It is to the point that our present Board is ready to quit and no one else wants to step into the role because of the legal can of worms that would have to be corrected as well as the loss of revenue and trust by the members.

We are a "voluntary dues/membership" and the people are fed up with the politics that have transpired and do not trust other neighbors not act exactly the same as the other Directors have done.

Thanks for any information. Nikki T.

Nikki, if your HOA has voluntary dues rather than a manditory assessment then you just let the association die. You have no funds to pay for an attorney, court costs, and payment for the person assigned by the court to run your HOA.
