Does anyone know if the State of California mandates HOA's to carry Earthquake insurance?
Does a HOA have to carry Earthquake insurance?
Our CC&R's says it's up to the homeowners to vote for Earthquake insurance coverage (increasing our dues dramatically) but some are saying the State of California requires that we carry it! Is that true?!
I would appreciate any information on this.....thanks!

Hi Mary,
I would love to have a conversation with you about this topic. I have worked with many associations that have this topic of concern.

Kyle,

Rather than re-activating an old thread (more than 6 months), it's better to simply start a new topic. This is done by clicking on the "add new topic" right above the blue bar that says Topics on the main discussion page.

Tim, I think both of the posts from Kyle are spam.

It could be an opening for advertising a company. However, until that happens I'm willing to take Kyle on face value. The moderators are fairly good at banning people if needed.

Trying to serve as a professional reference to your members is all my intentions consisted of. You could of had me edit the reference to a company deleted instead being reported to the "Moderator"....

Alas, there is no edit function on this site.
We all wish there is was.

I am simply here as a professional reference and had no intention of advertising a particular company. I represent a numerous associations and communities and can provide up to date market information. I posted a article that addresses many of your members concerns… I failed to remove one professional company name. I apologize for that.

As I posted in your other thread, I personally thought your experience would be helpful to others. Moderators do have the ability to edit. Why not contact the moderators and explain it to them. I'm sure that they will be understanding.

To contact the moderators click the underlined portion of the red words below the yellow banner at the top of the page that says:
