The roofer who installed our roof never obtained a permit.
I would appreciate the name of a roofing consultant to can inspect the roof and determine if it is up to code or not.
We have filed a claim against this company with the California State Contractors Board.
Our condo is located in Encino CA.

Thanks for whatever assistance you can provide.

I am almost certain the property OWNER is required to obtain any necessary permit(s).

(generally the contractor/vendor actually obtains the permit on BEHALF of the property owner, for a small fee)

If you contracted for the vendor to obtain a permit and he did not .... have the roof inspected by the 'authority having jurisdiction' and pass any costs along to the contractor ... assuming he was licensed and bonded and/or still around.

If not ..... you're stuck.
