I live in a relatively large HOA with 2,000+ homes and would like to know the names of some software programs which are being utilized to manage similar in not larger organizations.

I know nothing about the mechanics of the data entry information, but our 65 unit use Excel. It is my understanding the financials are entered in this program and you can elect how much of the data you want to distribute on spread sheets. I know the manual sold with the program and a little computer knowledge allows for a wide range of capabilities and I thing the on line swupport is good. The folks doing this now are certainly not computer experts.

There are many services that do this for the association "for a MONTHLY FEE".. you have to check them out carefully as some are NOT worth their fee and lock you into a contract before you realize that.
Do you want to manage your 'own' finances or the whole HOA ? For my own I use Quickbooks bye Intuit. Can purchase it anywhere software is sold. It can also handle all the accounts, but that large of an HOA should employ a good, educated or certified accountant, at least part time. They must be bonded and check their references for "Honesty" ....... very important as money in such a diverse business can too easily dissappear.

Steve, I suggest you use a management company to manage 2000+ homes. As far as software we use Peachtree; some use TOPS.
