Thanks to some of the kind and intelligent posters. To the rude ones; I don't need this. Nothing of substance has been posted except generalizations, assumptions and misinterpretations.

At any rate, I'll go elsewhere. Thanks to the kind posters.

Linda, Linda, Linda.....I got up this morning and saw all these new topics from Linda6....I thought a "spammer" had infiltrated our site.

You said you don't sleep well at night. I got home from work and counted TEN topics from you. I guess you don't sleep well during the day, either.

It's obvious that your association business is eating you up. You have a lot of issues you're trying to "solve" all at once.

Let me tell you something about this forum:

ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE.

Pros, cons, etc. We all make each other THINK...we all show each other the opinions of both sides. NO ONE was being rude to you....just asking you to THINK.

Thanks for stopping by to vent and put in your two cents. I have news for you....you won't find a better or more intelligent or more helpful information and answers anywhere else. But I wish you luck with your search. There are plenty of "HOA Bashing" sites out there. They are all people like you who would rather complain then step up to the plate and try to make a difference by putting their actions where their mouth is.

I wish you all the luck in the world.

Anna,

I couldn't agree with you more. This site is to be constructive not destructive. Anyone can agree or disagree with the posts and we hope these will give some important suggestions to folks that come on asking for assistance. When a person comes on and totaly ignores any suggestions and does nothing but complain (in one case on something that happened several years ago) it is obvious they want only to vent, carp, complain and bitch hoping all others will take their side. I say Linda has had more than her 15 minutes of fame and I, for one, am glad to see her go.

...and Ellen if she was at a board meeting she would only have THREE minutes....but three minutes for EACH topic! Which means she would have an entire 1/2 hour to speak. (3x10)....which is the point we were trying to make with her about speaking at board meetings.

Nice to see you chiming in again Ellen! How are things in Jacksonville?

Anna,

Things are great here. I'm just starting Christmas cookies. I make hundreds and gift them so I may spend less time on my computer. Hope things are well with you.

Sorry but I am just about up to my limit. In fact, for the first time I may ask my grandson to help me mix up some stiff batter. I'm 78 and on social security so this is the only way I can show my relatives that I love them. One recipe is a very old one, takes a lot of time but worth it. They say they look forward to them every year and I hope so.

Darn.

Okay, how about this, pass along the "very old recipe," and grow the tradition in another family!

Michelle, I have NO IDEA how you add these little goof-ball characters! How about you and me and Susan and Robert and Ellen and Mary and anyone else who wants to join us, all get together at Donna's house for a BIG party for the holidays?

We could all bring our favorite recipes and let Donna make them for us.

Donna---you OK with that???

Donna my favorite cookies don't require an oven; you make them on the stove in about 15min, growing up my momma called them skillet cookies as she made them in a big ol' cast iron skillet. Problem is they're so rich I can only make them when the kids are around to eat the majority of them.

Studies show that 5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions
