I guess this is more of a legal question. The company that did the transformation(if that is the right word... perhaps conversion is better)of a condo place from that of apartments ended two years ago. That company still owns one or two condo units...... a number of car ports and a number of garages that were previously being sold out for $10,000 or so each(for the garages).

Now that the declarant period is over, how long do they (the conversion company) have the right to hold control of the carports/condo units/garages?

Alex,

My guess would be until they're sold. The Condo conversion statutes are 718.604 thru 622; you may want to check them out. I couldn't see anything that addressed your question, but I may have overlooked something. Another thing you may want to do is contact your city/co to find out exactly what the conversion requirements were. I understand they do have to file a report with the municipality in which the complex is located.
