A couple of months ago I volunteered to sit on the association baord for a condo property my wife and I purchased. The property is run by a property management company. My observation so far is that the board processes are highly inefficient. It took us weeks for example to agree on a time and date for a first meeting that would satisy everybody's schedule. Once we got the meeting time pegged, documents were not distributed to everyone on time for review. Once we got the documents, everyone sent in their comments via email which created lots of traffic with disjointed information. Am I crazy to think that this can be done better using today's Internet technology? Searching online I have seen a lot of sites that offer services for community communication e.g., between the association and the owners. I have not seen any though that focus on the operations of the association board and its communication with property managers. Does anyone know of a service or software that can help organize association processes?

You've come to the right place. HOATalk was built by Community123.com, a provider of community websites.

Our sites offer the Board tools such as Board discussion forums (just like the one at HOATalk) and Board document libraries to share information.

Our Board forums email the Board as new messages are added, so all Board members stay engaged. The conversation flows well and is recorded online like HOATalk. HOATalk supports almost 4,000 members now with this technology.

Communtiy123.com will build your site for free and give you 2 months to try it, also free. Just email [email protected] or visit www.community123.com to get started. It's no risk, no cost and no hassle to try Community123.com.
