we have passes which are displayed in the windshield, but if you forget it one day(god help you) they will tow you anyway. The driver knows that the auto belongs there and tows anyway.

And without the pass the driver is supposed to know that you still belonged there. How was s/he to know that you didn't move out yesterday and were back today and didn't belong? The answer is simple, don't forget the pass! An expensive lesson I'm to be certain but I'm sure you won't "forget" the pass again anytime soon.

Why not get stickers or something like that, instead of a pass you have to display?

Otherwise, I agree, exactly HOW is the tow company supposed to know who belongs there? Are they mind-readers?

Well if that's truly the case, why doesn't the HOA save some money and just eliminate any indication of whose vehicle belongs there or not. If the patrols just "know" why bother to have a sticker or badge in the first place.

Obviously somebody thought they were needed - IF they're needed then they should be used - you can argue both sides of this one

Jordan,

What about on his day off and there is an alternate driver? Your pass is an assett to you. Use it often!!

our president lets them tow anyone without a tag, we are a block from the beach.
the only problem is he never comes on the weekends when beach ppl are around, he tows the owners and tenants during the week. This is a problem.

But it is a problem that can be solved ever so easily; make sure the required pass is in place.

If the owners and tenants comply with the rule then this tow driver will have to start coming around on the weekends if he wants to make any money.
