I am looking for financial institutions who sell CD's to an HOA and offer good rates? What is your HOA's best deal and with whom?

Our local bank sold us a CD. It didn't require anything special as far as anything HOA specific.

Stanley,

I don't know the sites but you can google them. They compare interest rates, etc.

http://www.bankrate.com/

This is one of the sites I use.

Allows to to search for national rates, internent bank rates or locally by zip.

An HOA should be able to use CDs from nearly all banks and credit unions when filed under a business or corporate account.

You can check the rates for different terms and also for regular account limits and JUMBO account requirements.

We recently took out a 12 month CD returning 2.07%.

A far cry from a few years ago but much better than a savings or MM account.

Ellen,
I have googled. The rate comparisons are CD's sold to individuals (not HOA).
