People often complain about apathy as the #1 problem within HOAs, to which I'll say "Who cares?"

Our Annual Meeting is tonight and the three of us on the BOD have set our final line for this most festive of occasions.

(Note to you non-betters out there - An Over/Under wager is an even-odds proposition in which one chooses whether the outcome will be less than (Under) or more than (Over) the strike point).

1. Length of Annual Meeting in Minutes = O/U 3.5
2. Number of Members Attending = O/U 4.5 (out 0f 21)
3. Length of following BOD Meeting in Minutes = O/U 14.5
4. Age of Scotch served at BOD Meeting in Years = O/U 17.5
5. Number of People sticking around for the BOD Meeting not including BOD Members = O/U 2.5
6. Length of BS session following the BOD meeting in Minutes = O/U 29.5

I'm picking Unders for all except 4 and 6.

C'est la vie. Thank the Lord our quorum requires only 10%!

From reading your posts sounds like you have things running well out there in PA. Don't expect much trouble at the annual meeting the sort of which many of us other properties suffer with.

Plus you have a small group 21 who should consider themselves lucky they have a Board willing to do what needs to be done with common sense, the needs of the property in mind and good hard work when needed.

1) over
2) over
3) over
4) under
5) over
6) over

Where do I show up to collect my winnings?????

Good luck tonight and keep up the good work.

And the results were:

1. U - 45 seconds
2. U - 3 (just the BOD)
3. O - 22 minutes (However, this was complicated by the facts that the Prez of a neighboring HOA was invited to watch us work our magic, and ask questions, and 1 Member ahowed up after the AM was over, to which we had to provide an update, including an explanation of what the 3 police cars were doing at my house)
4. U - 12 years
5. U - 2 (noted in #3)
6. O - It was at 30 minutes when I left
