I NEED SOME SLEEP!!!!! Is there anything that can be done about my neighbors car alarm that goes off when you walk by the stupid thing. The vehicle is about 25 feet from my bedroom and it goes off constantly. I asked her to dial down the sensitivity on it but it is an on going thing. I know my other neighbors are sick of it also and I am pretty sure the police can not do anything. Any suggestions??

One HOA before my current one, in NJ, we had an HO who would leave for weeks at a time and his house's burglar alarm would go off 5-10 times a day. We contacted the Federales. They contacted the HO. HO said tough darts. Federales told us to call and leave a message whenever the alarm again went off. 3500 bucks in fines later, levied after a 2 week absence, we never heard the alarm again.

Your local muni might have a similar noise ordinance. Give them a call.

call the police, every time. eventually, they will stop the problem with a nice chat with the owner.

(and personally, I admit to being tempted to call the police when i see cars with the "Need Help, Please Call Police" sun shades displayed with the text facing forward too, just to remind them to not be such idiots)...
