If there were 2 developers in a community and one is no longer building homes and no houses are being built can HOA dues keep going up. There is nothing being added to the community. No park,no pool, no houses cause of the economy

If the cost to run the assn is rising, together with the fact that no new h/o's are moving in and contributing to the assessments (income), it would not be unusual for the dues to increase.

In any case, if the homeowners have any say in the association, you can request a financial report to track exactly where the income/expenditures are and the reason for the increase.

How much are we talking about (amount of increase)?
