I am getting alot of phone calls about the homes that are in forclorser, and no electric is on. Therefore the post lamp is off. PLus with no powwer and Hurricane season coming, mold can set in, etc..I as a BOD can't find any info on this.I am sure the banks are not going to put electric to these homes for the assoc. lights! Thank you for any help....

Laverne,
I just called the health dept about this on friday. I'm in a townhouse and have a foreclosure next to me. It's been empty in our florida heat for 2yrs now,I'm afraid the mold can come through the walls to my home.

Barbara, if I find anything out I will post it. If you will do the same? This is going to be a big problem very soon. Not to mention if storms hit and no one is there to contact..forget about FEMA!! Good Luck

Count me in ladies! I'm interested in this one, too! Barbara, did the health department give you any information? We had a similar problem with a unit with no air conditioning for five years and called everyone we could think of, including the health department (which said they couldn't help.) But in our case there WAS someone living there.

Hi Anna,
I told them I was concerned about the mold( I have allergies),and she said call a mold expert. Great help that was.
