The Board members of our Home Owners Association in a Florida community are interested in this site and will contribute as well as hope to gain knowledge from it if there is content on mobile/manufactured home owners associations. So far, all the communications I've seen are from condo associations. Also, I'd be interested in knowing if there are any attorneys who contribute to the site. We can talk ad infinitum among ourselves, but without legal guidance, we run the risk of advising someone incorrectly. We have a number of issues without or park management/ownership and could use some help on them, but realize laws are different from state to state and condos, at least in Florida, are under a different section of the state statutes than mobile home parks and their home owners associations. If you participate and are from a mobile home HOA, please advise and let us know where you are located. Thanks so much.

Shirley,

I've seen a few messages from mobile home park owners; however, most do come from people living in single family homes, townhomes and condos. However, we are willing to offer our opinions to anyone!

With regard to legal advice, you should read the disclaimer (at the bottom of your message) from HOA Talk admin which says in part: "Messages posted by HOATalk or other members are for informational purposes only, are not legal or professional advice and do not constitute an attorney-client relationship. Readers should not act upon this information without seeking professional counsel."

Shirley,

We do have some fairly regular Mobile Home Park posters but as Mary has stated, this site should not offer any legal advice per the site disclaimer.
Florida Statutes 723 governs moblie home parks and that is the only way to look for instant advice on governing laws. locally, you should contact other associations similar to yours for sharing of problems and solutions.

I'm not looking for legal advice, but practical solutions to problems we have, such as speeding in the park, managers not enforcing rules, getting rid of a drug dealer living in the park, etc. If there are no mobile home parks contributing to the site, it does me no good to raise the issues. Since you say there are, then I will raise the issues as I have time. Dealing with condo solutions and mobile park solutions are different! Thanks for your replies.
