Hi all,

Does anyone post or publish deliquency lists?

Are there any issues or is it legal?

If you publish, do you have a threshold or any deliquency?

Thanks

Gerry,
Save yourselves some trouble and search "Delinquent, or some such" in the search box this page upper right of page. A ton of stuff there.

Conclusion or consensus for this site:

Do not publish lists.
Publish amount in arrears.
Do not publish names.
Publish attempts being made to collect.
As long as there are arrears in an association they should be followed in the minutes as to activity and any development such as foreclosure, pending sales, etc, etc.
They have to be shown on the financial reports.
Some say all associations should over budget something like 10% in anticipation of bad debts not collected.

Hope the economic situation turns around.

Each associations should be aware that there could be a process in the works that will have already made them subject to this problem, it just hasn't filtered down yet but it will.
