Pretty Funny Statement .... being made with a sign and a ziploc baggie..

I found this today in our elevator and found it a bit suprising usually our homeowners are apathetic.. and don't make such statements.

There was a ziploc baggie with what clearly was dog feces. There was a printed sign with it that said something like. Did you dog drop this? It was found with a fresh puddle of urine on our 3rd floor outside the elevator. Please be courteous and pick up after your dog. Your fellow residents are not thrilled with picking up your shortcomings.

I took the baggie down and discarded it... but left the sign. We only have 1 homeowner on the third floor with a dog... it's just bad common sense.

Well, first I would do some looking to ensure that there isn't s new dog on the floor. Then I would have taped it to the resident's door.

BEFORE jumping the gun I'd have a few questions.

How long has the owner on the third floor lived there with a dog?
Was this was the first time doo has appeared on the third floor?

I wouldn't be so sure it was the third floor owner if they've been there a while and this has not occurred before. It would then be inconsistent with their previous behaviour of cleaning up after their dog, to suddenly leave something behind. I also think an irresponsible pet owner is less inclined to leave doo so close to their apartment/condo where they too get to enjoy the aroma.

How do you know it is even dog doo? Some drunk late night partier?

It is amazing how some dog owners act. When I worked for a law firm we had clients who came with their tiny dog and let it do it's business in the reception room in full view of our receptionist and other clients. I suppose they thought we didn't want to lose their business but we certainly wanted to lose their dog's business.

I would have like to offer the client a doggie bag to go.
