I would like to know how to stop this or curb this activity?
It's been an issue in the past and still is with old board members. The issue is that 2 out of the 5 board members have been asked not to discuss HOA business with anyone from our management company unless the entire board is aware. Also one board member in particular has attempted to give approvals on acitivities without the entire board even the President. ( example? we had maintenance work done and it was found to need further work.. actually cut into a plaster wall and so forth... the board member was on the property... spoke to the maintenance worker and proceeded to tell them to go ahead with the cutting and she would notify the board. We found out at the next board which was days later! The President gave the member a verbal warning that if she does this again action will be taken ( removal from title ) Today I was told by our PM that this board member was trying to conduct business again in regards to an agenda item which is due to be looked at on our next meeting. Our President told board member that all her emails to the PM are going to be requested and looked at by the members! This is legal! But the board member just can't seem to get it.
I dont' know what else I can do other than to voice an opinion and ask for this member to step down?
