Hi Donna, (or anyone else from from the Volunteer State) could you tell me if the basics from this blog post are accurate:

http://activerain.com/blogsview/921640/New-Condominium-disclosure-form-for-Tennessee-Realtors

Since it's blog post and from a Realtor, rather than an attorney, I wanted to see if it's accurate before posting it to the TN page of my site.

Thanks,

Joe

Joseph,
First I went to the Tennessee Real Estate Disclosure Laws and the contents are much alike with the Realtors new disclosure "F-23, Request for Condominium Association Disclosure." The Realtors Promulgated that from already exhisting State laws. Hope that answers your inquiry. It must be slow for them so they wrote a new form, lengthy I must add.

As always, fast and on the money.

Thanks, the condo and HOA stuff is easy, but the Realtor stuff makes my mind go -----------

Joseph,

Florida also has Disclosure laws but the forms that I had to fill out prior to selling a couple of condos were FAR/BAR, which is the Fl. Real Estate Assoc and Fl Bar Assoc Disclosure sheets. But I also filled out a couple of hundred question disclosure from HUD? Did I really do that one? Or is it just a jumble in my mind of the many sheets of paper that I signed.

So, each State has Real Estate Laws and the trend is that the State Real Estate Associations are creating their own perhaps simplified versions for signing prior to listings? Thanks Joe for the interesting subject posting.
