Thanks HOA Talk for adding the spell-check feature, now if there were only some way to teach posters the difference between there, their and they're.

Thanks but we actually don't have spell check....we leave that to the current crop of web browsers that include it. I bet you are on FireFox 3? It has one built in. There are free options for IE too....just Google for IE Spell Checker.

Thanks,

Darn, here I thought I'd discovered a nifty new feature. You're right, I moved over to Firefox after having Internet Exploder 7 (IE7) lock up on me one too many times. For those of you not using Firefox it works just like a regular spell-checker; the questionable word gets underlined in red and if you right click on it you get a series of guesses as to what you meant.

Huh!
I loaded the iospellcheck as directed on my IE browser.
I never do any of this stuff right. This time it worked fine, when I finish typing a post, I go to tools on the browsers, all in same window, select "iospell" and the same spell check screen I have on Outlook pops up, clues suspect word and you can fix them. Then go down and hit submit and you are done.

Told you I could screw that up.

It is not "iospell", it is "iespell".

Good news all you bad spellers. I read a long time ago that it's OK to misspell words in internet communications. Everyone uses abbreviations and types quickly so misspellings are the norm. BTW, if you ever see a misspelled word in any of my posts it's because I'm typing too fast. I'm really a very good speller -- that's the truth!

Well Version 3.0.5 has one, which I mistakenly attributed to HOATalk.

It underlined as questionable, your use of spellcheck and my use of HOATalk.

Glen,
Now that's funny......................and like all truely funny things, they touch on the truth.

No, I meant I've been using Firefox (yes, I have the most recent update).

I can assure you that I never use spell check!

Where's the fun in that?!

Interesting. I knew about the underlining in Firefox (since I run on Linux systems, it's all I use, and with my spelling abilities, I see lots of underlining), but I didn't know about the right-click feature. Thanks for the tip Glen. Now if they could just include a grammar checker....

What is even more interesting though is that the Firefox spell-checker doesn't like the word "Firefox".
