To all my friends and advisors at HOATalk, I wish you all a happy holiday season filled with friends, love, good neighbors and peace.

"Good neighbors" and "peace"? In the same sentence? Kidding.

I just want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all of you who have guided me and given me such good advise during this past year, and the year before. It makes me feel so much less "alone".

You're all very, very special people!

I am sure all of us have the same wishes for your and yours Anna. Personally, if there was such a thing, I would nominate your post for the Annual Post of the Year. You are hereby first winner of the APY Award. Thank you and Joyous Holidays.

Our traditions are surprisingly on schedule. My Famous Chile (1 Alarm), prepared last night, is sitting on the floor of the garage – keeping cool while the flavors get to know each other better. Presents are wrapped. The citrus spruce is in its stand, the branches “relaxing” prior to the 4 PM decorating (and at which time cocktail hour(s) commence). Pinion wood, shipped by my cousin in Santa Fe, is resting in the fireplace. MFC will be served at 6 (with half a dozen chili sauces to raise the Alarm factor to 2,3 or 4), followed by the opening of gifts. Then our annual viewing of It’s a Wonderful Life, which is loaded into the player, to be accompanied by Susan’s Famous Chocolate Pumpkin Bread with French Vanilla ice cream and Bailey’s on the side.

All is well here, as I trust it is at the homes of all our correspondents. As that girl Felice Navida says: Merry Christmas to you.

John I thought her name was Kitten Natividad but seriously Merry Christmas to all and here's hoping that 2009 brings better times.

John,
I could use some of that chile, so I think I'll go down and open a can and have a Flat Bread Sandwich and some chili. Don't feel sad for me, I am blessed in many ways, too nunerous to count.

You do paint a nice picture and here's wishing all posting here can enjoy the spirit of Christmas and gaither round with friends and loved ones.

The very best to all.
