Just exactly what does D&O insurance cover.

Your insurance policy should list the covered items.

I have seen it used in situations concerning: embezzlement & fraud, discrimnation, financial ignorance on behalf of the board, charges against sexual predators (adults).

Embezzlement and fraud? That's what I used to think ours covered, until I read it. Misfeasence (poor judgment, mistakes, etc.) is, malfeasence (as in criminal acts) are not. Which is why we recently procured a fidelity bond for our BOD.
