Based on the HOA president quote, this prez sets a BAD example for other HOA's.

Soldier's landscaper skips town right before he is called up for active duty and the Developer/HOA presidents tells the media he will sue the soldier. HOA prez is quoted as saying "I really don't give an [expletive] where he is or what his problem is".

When the HOA prez is told you can't sue an active military member his response it "This clown gets to do what he wants and I'm mad as hell."

Result, the community got together and did all the work. The soldier won't see it for a year and the loudmouth developer (imo) was a no show and wouldn't respond to media questions. Guess he realized just what a idiot he was with his previous responses.

Thanks for sharing this, DJ. There is a lesson in this about positions of power and leadership.

While I love to see the community supporting the soldier in question, I do wish that the loud mouth clown could be shown his.

This jerk thinks he is above the law of the land. Congress passed the "Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act" because of clowns just like him. It is not fair to a service member who is deployed and can not defend him/herself.

Since we don't know the time frame of this issue, I will reserve comment. (this could have been a long-time problem between the HOA and the soldier)

I do know that soldiers are expected to take car of all their responsiblities, including giving power of attorney to handle legal affairs, etc. to a trusted friend or relative, before they are deployed.

In any case, it was great that the neighbors did all this for him at this time.
