Does anyone know how to go about searching for a good quality Management Company (about 10 units) in southern California?

Mary,

Posting rules on HOATALK do not allow us to reccomend companies or services. Sorry, but you might look around your area and find out from other HOAs if they are happy with their management companies.

Thanks Donna, but what I was really asking was how does one assess a good company? I was not necessarily asking for a company name. I was basically trying to find out what to expect? If that is not permissiable, no problem. Thanks again for your reply.

Ten units?

Geez, can't your board contract out help by itself?

Is this cost-wise for your small association?

Thanks for your reply, Susan.
I'm not sure what you mean by "contract out help by ourselves" but we just went through major turmoil with our treasurer. So at this point, we just want to know all our options going forward.
I do not know if it will be cost-effective yet because we have not started any research. I am first trying to figure out what we should be looking for in a management company.
Thanks again for your reply.
