I know I ask a lot of questions but it seems I seem to understand the talk from you all rather than the legal CCR's. So here I go again.
We had our annunal meeting in August. Not enough to vote for new board members. Not enough to even open the ballots. The meeting was ajouned until Sept. a notice went out to members with the new date. The day that the 2nd meeting was to take place the board did not show up. They forgot. Now we have our regular meeting this week with no notice that it is a vote and I am wondering if the ballots are still good or what we should do now. It seems that the same board stays on. We have a meeting this week and I wonder if the ballots can be opened or does the same board stay on. Can this go on month after month until we get enough ballots? Help.

Wheh the 2nd meeting was scheduled, it should have been held (provided there was a quorum there so business could be conducted) Was there a quorum for the 2nd meeting?

It was not necessary for the Board to come to the Annual Meeting of the Members in order for it to be held. The Members could have elected a presiding officer and the meeting could have been held.

What is the "term" of the board member?

Since no election of the Board has taken place, the Board members are still in office IF the bylaws say "until replaced." If the board members have definate terms, then the board servies that time, and then step down.

You COULD be without a board. Why don't you call the president and ask what's up??
