Kind of funny. I sort of feel bad for the guys. LOL, they should of read their governing documents! This just continues to support the fact how oblivious people really are to the world around them.

Tamara,

Yes, I also read this thing and wondered what kind of fog they are living in as to not know that they have rules and documents to follow. Probably some kind of zoning ordinances were broken also. Every place that I have lived, there are zones for commercial class A residental, class B, etc. They cannot operate a business without a Tax number and Fed I.D So after adding all of the 'they didn't do's", I don't feel sorry for them. And $40,000 for halloween spooky house stuff? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

Like Donna I believe $40,000 for the haunted house is insane. I also believe it insane that this guy wanted to unilaterally open the gates. And that he chose to charge for entrance. All without talking to the HOA first.

At the same time, I wonder why they waited to send the warning. Lets get real, the BOD should have sent something as soon as they had an idea about the plan. When the black wall went up, it was time to notify the resident.

I think neither side has been reasonable here.

Looks like the guy has done it in years past. Maybe the HOA saw an opportunity to cash in. That might help keep dues from going up seeing how tough it is to collect these days.
