Our condo has insurance on all community property. I have insurance on the interior, the windows, doors, screens, etc of my unit. I have optional Loss Assessment coverage of up to $50,000 with a $250.00 deductible. When our association issued a special Loss Assessment, my insurance company struck down more than half the items tha association declared as Loss Assessment damage from hurricanes FRANCES and JEANNE saying they are "non-covered" in my Loss Assessment policy. How can an insurance appraiser dictate that a condo association is WRONG in it's decision?
