Our former co left the state and won't turn over our financial docs, homeowner list, or our money. What are our options?

Talk to your HOA lawyer...ASAP.....or find a lawyer familar with HOAs.

Only one option I can think of -- take them to court! Find a good lawyer and get the ball rolling pronto. In the meantime make certain the name of the prop. mgr is taken off the bank accounts and the members are no longer sending in their assessments to the mgmt co.

Call the police ASAP!!!
(He has stolen corporation records, paperwork and funds. What are you waiting around for? Let the police ask him and see if he refuses them)

I think JC indicated that the management company left the state, so calling the police may be a little complicated since jurisdictional boundaries have been crossed. Maybe a case for the Feds. Call the FBI?
In any event, I agree, some legal action is called for - immediately!
