I am a homeowner of a small newly established neighborhood of about 40 homes (built 2003-4) here in Houston Texas. Our HOA is named Oak Park Ridge Section III. I dont want to bore everybody about the details (which I'm sure my HOA issues are run-o-th'-mill) with this at the moment but, as a concerned, invested homeowner, I would like to find out where I can start my search on HOA's board member requirements, responsiblities, rights of homeowners right-to-know...etc.

Im sure it varies State to State.

Absolutley ANY advice would be great! This has actually affecting our neighbors relationships which is a bad thing being how small we are. Issues ranging from: Non-payment of annual dues being paid (some are 5 years behind), homes that are now vacant and for sale for years here ( issues with keeping up with these yards ie: grass cutting), a self-assumed HOA president who talks a big game with no action as well as his micro-management of the treasurer duties ( who just happens to be...or was my wife as of yesterday she quit after our HOA president's lack of respect with yelling and demanding at his desire for the second time, hap-hazard meetings and so on......

Whew, Im getting all bent outta shape here. I thank-you for your time!

William you start with the documents that control your Association and any applicable laws you have for HOA's in Texas (you can Google them) the answers of what you can do are there.

Studies show that 5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions
