Does anyone have any advice on getting graffiti off of bricks?

This can quickly become an expensive item if the same location keeps getting tagged week after week. Usually grafitti is a form of communicaton between rival gangs; it is a type of gang behvaior manifesting territoriality. One of our neighboring associations spent thousands of dollars on the same wall which was hit 5 times over a period of three months. The grafitti would not come off with powerwashing as it was some sort of latex-based paint. They finally got to the point where they only covered the wall with primer....no paint, just primer.

It is recommended that graffiti be removed immediately. After a while, the gang bangers will move on to other locations (if you are lucky).

Doesn't the city where you live have graffiti removal? We have it here and they respond rather quickly. They know exactly what to do; sorry I can't help in that department.
