Has anyone ever heard of this. If so, what are the pros/cons? Our HOA is voting on whether to be a part of this act. It will make it easier to collect fines owed (don't have to go to the court house to get a lien on the property). Sounds scary!!

Use the search box in the right hand side of the screen. There are plenty of posts and responses on this topic already discussed on this board. I have read many of them. I don’t at all have the memory to recite them all to you, as I am learning what a POA is myself.
I typed in”POA” and a lot came up.

It sounds as if it’s a good thing for all.

There are plenty of postings, recently, on the POA, especially in GA. Also, go to www.wncwlaw.com and research GA POA's...or also the community associations network website shown on the right. You can look under GA and find info.

It is highly recommended that HOA's become POA's in GA...and if I am still on the board next year, this will be my goal for 2007.

It's not easy! I can tell you that. We are so close! Just 20 signatures away. It's worth it though especially from a collection point of view.
