Colorado House Bill 1270 has passed the legislature and sent to Governor Bill Ritter. It is anticipated to be approved and become law by July.

IT IS GREEN - NOT RED OR BLUE !!
The bill encourages homeowners to invest in energy efficiency measures and will prohibit homeowner associations from restricting them. It extends an existing law on the use of solar devices; and includes other alternative energy measures, including wind-electric generators, shade structures such as awnings, shutters, attic fans and swamp coolers, and retractable clotheslines.

Roger,

As we have discussed on previous threads, there is coming a time--and very soon-- that HOAs will NOT be able to restrict any energy saving means for their homes. The HOAs better be prepaired because I can already smell the smoke from this.

GREAT for forward thinking Colorado! Sad tho that Arizona doesn't see fit to allow outside clotheslines with all this sunshine we have.
