President leaves HOA office door open during business hours so anyone can walk into the office. This is against the privacy act, we need a solution for this, can anyone give some suggestions?
Thanks,

Howard,
It's not against the "Privacy Act" unless someone is going thru the records. One of my associations uses a half door or double dutch door, where the lower half is locked and the upper part has a shelf ot leaning area for items to be left if there is no one in the office at the time. It is a bad practice that he is doing so get him notified that the office has to be more secure .

Here are some guidelines and references to the E=Government Act of 2002, Sec. 208

howard, as far as i can tell, the privacy act you referenced here is scoped for the US Government and government agencies, and thus, has no bearing on HOA's. I see nothing that requires a private business to comply with the requirements.

Am i missing something?
