Hi, we recently formed a welcome committee - to welcome new homeowners that have just moved in our community.

Does any one else have this sort of committee? If so, what do you include in your welcome package? ...or other ideas - I open to them. Thanks :-)

We put in a small handbook that has the Rules and Regs in it. Also, the resident telephone book and a $10.00 gift card to our very special local food market.

Cathy, here in our subdivision we put everything in a handy basket with a hand-made bow, with the regulations in a clear binder. But also a map of the area, downloaded facts from the city's cite (utility phone numbers, trash, etc.) Copies of previous newsletters, one sheet that has the names of all the officers and how to contact the board, when and where they meet. Plus a small erasable board to go on their refrigerator, a small candle, and magnetic clips also for the fridge. We used to cook too, but we were going through an awful lot of lasagna that way. So we limited that to people who move in and buy the home.

Good luck

The committee can make it as BIG or small as the budget and efforts of the committee will allow. Some ideas not only the CCR's but go to stores in the area and give coupons to nail salons or men's stores. Most stores love to give gift packages to entice new clients to their store. Good Luck!

Sometimes if you go to the city or county website, they have relocation packages that include coupons, maps, places to visit, etc... and its free to new residents.
