Are they really effective? I have felt that they are a waste of money but not sure. Any experience with those stations?

You need to hire a service to empty them and keep new bags in them for the dog owners. In my community they work great.

We had a huge problem with dog poop in the parks and along community walkways. The first year after turn-over we hired a service to come and clean it up, but that was just way too expensive. So we installed trash cans and mutt-mitt dispensers near the biggest problem areas. A volunteer goes around to empty the trash cans and refill the dispensers every week or so. Problem solved.

Hi Alex,

We have about five or six doggie bag stations around our neighborhood and they seem to work great. To their credit, the dog owners are very responsible about using the bags to pick after their pets.

We buy doggie bags that come on rolls of 200 each and store them in our clubhouse. All the dispensers have a combination lock with the same four digit combination. Our landscaper and all the Board members have a key to the clubhouse and the four digit combination, so there's about a half dozen of us that keep an eye on them and refill them as necessary.

They've worked great for us for the past siz years and we've seen more HOAs in our area doing it as well.

Any good/reasonable place to purchase them?
