Hello. I am hoping someone can help me. We had an attorney in South Texas, Harlingen area. After no response or communication for several months, despite my reaching out to him, we were requested our retainer back and had to terminate him. The new dilemma is, we cannot find an attorney. I have reached out to no less than ten attorneys with no response or they don’t want to handle HOA work supporting the board. Can anyone provide the name of a competent responsive attorney? thanks for your help.

Here is a link from the San Antonio Chapter of CAI (community association institute). You may need to go that far to find an attorney for the HOA.

https://caisa.org/attorneys.php I personally have no idea if the attorneys listed are good, bad or indifferent. I simply know that they belong to that chapter (based on the website).

The posting rules prohibit the mentioning of names so I doubt you will get a specific recommendation.
