I am a seasoned Florida CAM currently in the process of obtaining my Georgia CAM license. I am exploring whether there is a demand for an experienced professional who can work directly with a Board, or if such opportunities are uncommon. If any Boards are seeking this level of support, I would welcome you to share your needs here.

Hi HeatherR4 - do you mean starting your own property management company? Yes that is very common. If this is what you are thinking, I bet some members here would be willing to share feedback about what they like or dislike about property mangers who they have worked with. This might help you refine a Unique Selling Proposition for your new company...

Or when you say "work directly with a board" are you thinking that the board keeps their existing property manager, and you are an additional advisor or go-between? If so - no, I have never heard of anything like that.

Thank you for your reply. I wanted to inquire whether there are any Boards currently seeking a professional to manage their community in a self-managed capacity.

Maybe we are using different words to say the same thing. To me, "self managed" means that the board members do the management tasks themselves, without help from any professional.

In any case, this board isn't really the place to look for jobs. The posting rules here include: "No solicitation, advertising, or selling".

I think people here might be open to a slightly different discussion that still might be helpful to you - such as "what are typical contract terms for property managers?" or "how does the selection process work when a board chooses a new property manager?". Etc.

Thank you for the advice. I wasn’t sure if that is a typical demand in GA specifically as I was looking to relocate.
