Several weeks ago, in a thread titled "first contact with prospective MC"
I was given a lot of information. Thanks to replies by HaroldS, GeraldT4, PaulM, JosephW, RogerB, and DonnaS, and much other information given by many people posting here, I was able to put together 2 lists of questions. I used the first approximately 12 questions for a preliminary phone interview with prospective MCs, the second, a list of mc responsibilities, became a 3 page checklist for me to email to those chosen for further interview.
I decided to make that checklist because it would put their responses in front of us in an easily compared way.
We soon have our first of two site visits. We hope to do at least 3, perhaps 4.
I wanted to thank you for your suggestions, your lists, your help, and to let you know that several of the "first contacts" exclaimed over the quality of my questions, that they showed we had a pretty good idea of what we are looking for.
For myself, I do feel more confident. I may still stutter and stmmer, but it won't be nearly as bad as it would otherwise have been without all of your generous contributions.
Thanks you, from the bottom of my toes.
