Anyone know where I could get a comprehensive security plan to deal with trespassers that come here to use the amenities? We have a 62 acre lake with a beach, boats, playground, courts, etc. And many non-residents here to use the amenities.

Have you spoken to a security company? To get the most out of that, start by doing research. Here are just a sample of questions you need to answer:

How do people residents normally access them- e.g. are some only open during specific days and times?

Do you have any security cameras, and if so, how many, where are they located and are they monitored 24/7?

Are some amenities more vulnerable to tresepassers than others? Whuch ones and how?

Are there times of day, days of the week that are more problematic?

Be more specific about the problems. Are there so many non-residents the residents can't use the amenities? Have there been problems with vandalism, noise, theft? Are they only affecting the amenities or are trespassers running around the neighborhood committing more mayhem?

Has anyone been caught? Did they get a pass or key from a resident to access whatever?

And so on.

A community poll may be a good place to start to identify trends. Then you could speak to police or security companies about possible options. Maybe you'll need to consider hiring security guards to patrol certain areas. Some areas may need some sort of key fob system to limit access. If there are residents who seem to be inviting the entire planet to a pool party at midnight every weekend, you'll need to do some detective work to find out who's responsible. Perhaps those persons will need to have their access limited ir suspended until they learn to behave. You'll also need to pursue trespassers legally, including suing them fir damage.

Identify the most serious problems first and go from there. Be sure to ask homeowners for ideas and perhaps tips on troublemakers they've seen. This will be an ongoing project and you won't fix everything overnight but you may make break-ins more difficult.

I would invite your local police department and State DNR to send a representative to a board meeting and get them involved. One of the topics with your local PD is hiring off duty officers for enforcement during peak periods with a zero tolerance policy. I would also have a board member meet with prosecutors office.
