Do political campaigns have the exclusive right to disobey Posted No Trespassing and No Soliciting signs at the entrances
to gated communities and disobey posted No Trespassing and No Soliciting signs on a homeowners property? I am getting blown off
by our PM. One particular campaign has been to my home more than 6 times. I have recited the NV trespass citation on two occasions
to different canvassers. I have posted signage at three locations on my property including do not disturb and added the NV NRS citation
for Disorderly Conduct.

I have mailed a letter to the campaign and so far have been ignored. Does the HOA have any say? Can the HOA send a cease and desist?

The particular issue will come up again next election cycle because the campaign issue changes the NV Constitution and requires
two consecutive votes, meaning they will be back again.

Maybe you should call the police if you want a trespass law enforced instead of the PM.

Keep in mind that the State has a road easement into your property (gated or not).

Now take a look at the law (simple internet lookup): Sign Rules/Regulations from Nevada Dept. of Transportation

I must have missed it, but where does it say the right to place political signs supersedes a residential property owner's right to say what can be placed on his property? Or does the local municipality own a strip of land along the roadway, as was the case in a city where I lived? I vaguely remember from years ago that in my locale, the campaigns needed the property owner's permission to place signs.

Since politics is awash in money, surely campaigners aren't dependent on these signs? And what do the signs tell voters? I'm not going to vote for some rando just because I'm seeing his signs everywhere (I'd probably do the opposite because the guy annoys me, but that's my normal reaction to advertising of any sort - I'm difficult that way).

If nothing else, it will be over with in less than a week, and you can have a bonfire.

Typically, the city or county owns an easement x feet from the center of the roadway.
This easement typically extends into private property.

That said, NDOT does not allow signage in their roadway right of ways (easements).

However, the road might be city/county and they may have their own regulations.

This is bad practice, and frankly, I would just threaten to call local authorities the next time this happens.

You do realize gated communities are private roads that are not maintained by the state or local govt?

An easement is typically an interest in land owned by another. The land is not owned by the state.

This is simply not true, otherwise the police would not pull the sorry you're on private property card when it comes to
speed and traffic sign enforcement.

I have better things to do with my life than wait on hold for 30 hours dialing 311 because LVMPD will not respond to 911
for trespass crimes.
