People are so wierd.
At annual meeting VP asks why we cant' have in person meetings. He voted to have it virtual at the last board meeting, that's why. I told the board, online meetings have gotten quorum 2 years straight and inperson meetings got quorum maybe once in the previous 25 years ! Also at same meeting VP resigns. lol You can't make this up it's so wierd.

His friend , a retired lady, is a past board member who submitted 25 trash can violations this past month is furious with me for getting rid of mgt company, who's main purpose was to do monthly violation checks. This retried lady wrote me an email telling me that I could stay in power by holding only inperson meetings, so that quorum wasn't meant so that elections woudl not be held.

Also at meeting another past board member told me that when he was on board they just had all 5 officers vote when bylaws cleary state 3 board members only have voting power.

Am I the only one who has read the governing docs? I think so.

On a predictable note I got my neighbor to run for the board. Told him to look at past survey's to get an idea of what people wanted. so he wrote he wanted to increase security with more light and cameras and also that he would get grants for the HOA. He's a quite guy who never talks to anyone, but he's leading in the polls as of now based on what he wrote.

Oh, think that’s weird. A previous HOA president is not receiving HOA emails because his email service ended support several years ago. So rather than him getting a new email service, he wants the manager to install software that will track each email and determine if was both received and when it was opened by the homeowner.

I believe you're taking about the annual meeting of the members, right? Not, Board meetings. ?Please site the exact words from your bylaws that say only 3 board members have voting power. 'Also at meeting another past board member told me that when he was on board they just had all 5 officers vote when bylaws cleary state 3 board members only have voting power."

Officers do not vote at all at board meetings. directors/board members do. Often officers are also board members/irectors

Sounds to me like a 3 member board appointed officers who weren’t board members.

correct, which is fine, but they are not supposed to vote.

Still not clear if you're talking about a board meeting, when only directors may vote, or a members (ownrs) meeting when any owner many vote.

member meeting. this VP is a joke, he's a puppet of a former board member, He will literally vote one way and then a few days latter (after talking to his old Board freind) send me an email aksing me wny the board does such and such. For example he wanted to know why no one else had access to the HOA mgt software? Answer becuase he never set up his account months ago when I emeiled him instructions. What happens if I die and no one can access HOA funds? Well you were supposed to go to the bank and sign the signatory card but didn't. So glad he's leaving, nothing but a waste of time. didn' do a damn thing the 10 months he was on the board.

Congratulations. It sounds like you've done a lot to help you community, which is exactly what a board is supposed to do. It's impossible to make everyone happy, but I've found that online meetings have had an overwhelmingly positive effect on HOAs.

You could consider hybrid meetings, if there is a demand for it, but if virtual is working than stick with it.
