We manage a large gated community with over 750 homes and are currently soliciting proposals for vendors that offer RFID (radio frequency Identification) cards for all homeowners to be able to pass through the gate as well as a QR code system for guests to use as needed. Does anyone have any recommendations? We are currently using the services of a company but looking to possibly make a change next year. Thank you for your time.

What is wrong with your present system?

Posting rules prohibit mentioning specific products, companies, etc.

However, with only 2 posts to a "person's" history, this is more likely to be a spammer, so off to the mods we go.

Wow, a gated community with 750 homes. With guests, contractors and deliveries it sounds like a security nightmare. Sounds like you are moving in the right direction, but as stated there is no vendor recommendations on this site.

We have a system that uses RFID but not yet QR codes nor license plate scans.

I'm not looking for recommendations, but I would like to know if there are any HOA Forums (fora?) for technology. Our committee is looking at this, at club house Sound Systems, at WiFi, etc etc.

It feels like there should be some org somewhere that provides a way for HOA Technology folks to interact.

I'd welcome any pointers.
