I am just curious if any of you know whether or not this is enforceable....."no dog houses of any kind can be seen from the road". I have 2 dogs and no matter where I put their house, someone, from some angle, is going to be able to see it. Can a HOA do this?

Yes it can be. The best tact IMO would be to contact the BOD and ask what they suggest or if some type of screening or plantings can be used to hide the doghouse.

Studies show that 5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions

Good answer. If you propose a reasonable solution to the problem, the board will be more likely to go along with it. The problem will be to find something natural that the dogs won't kill.

Amy,
Absolutely they can. Plant some bushes or a small privacy fence if it is allowed but get approval for them first.

AmyB2,

Our governing documents have a very similarly covenant. The board and PM decided that “IF” the violation could be seen from the front of the house, that it wouldn’t be an observed violation. UNLESS a HO files a reports you, which the BOD/PM would indeed need to address, take action.

I would think this would help you to ask the appropriate questions to your BOD in regards to your current predicament.

another option would to build it larger, say, to house a sheep.

then, it wouldn't be a dog house.

Of course, that only works if you are not forbidden to have sheep as pets in your HOA.

Or, perhaps a small lawn tractor shed. Again, not a dog house.

You must first read all the rules before you understand them. Then, you must understand them before you can bend them.
