Thank you for the link.

Sounds like the preliminary report is focused on structural/construction deficiencies that were not up to code requirements at the time the building was built. They noted that the pool deck collapsed 4 minutes before the rest of the building, but they are not ruling out the possibility that an issue in the tower itself initiated the collapsed (eg. something in the tower shifting, which altered the weight distribution on the pool deck and caused it to collapse, which then destabilized the tower).

They hope to release the final report some time in 2025.

Early discussions here and elsewhere focused on the board's and homeowners' failure to maintain the structure adequately, but it sounds like better maintenance may only have delayed the inevitable. I wonder if the final report will address any inspection failures as well - why weren't the structural issues noted earlier?

There is a good YouTuber that was in the neighborhood when it collapsed. He is a structural engineer. He shows that they moved the palm trees off the pool deck prior. Plus they were doing some structural inspections. There was someone doing work in that pool area that took pictures. He was so concerned think he left. Those pictures are part of the investigation now.

Think guys name is Jeff? He also does Lowe's or home Depot deals if you find his channel.
