Obviously I lack the techie gene! Is it legally possible to Private Message a respondent on this site. How?

I do not believe this is possible.

Unfortunately the only option seems to be to provide an email address on the forum and ask so-and-so to email you. Preferably create an email address with a provider that will be used solely for discussion with others on this forum.

I know of two stalkers/harassers who have used (or are using) this forum. Be careful.

ElleN I was hoping you'd see this. THANKS. I've found your HOATalk responses to be honest, nonjudgemental and accurate. You make a sincere effort to educate the inquirer about their state codes, etc...not an easy connection for many of us. Yes, harassers are obvious and easy for me to ignore. I will simply post my current concern.

I think it is important not to "judge" anyone for asking a HOA question. For HOA board volunteers and owners alike, I think the line that 'the only stupid question is an unasked question' is important.
