Our development was completed in Dec. 06. There are only 18 townhomes.
Each HO was marketed 2 parking spaces directly in front of their home. However, 2 of the homes (the end unit) do not have parking spaces directly in front of their homes. They have a grassy common area instead. The HOA wants the homeowners to shift downward to the left or right to accommodate the HOs without parking. Which would put us infront of our neighbors house.

Should we petition the builder to add additional spaces?

Whatever is documented/recorded with the Planning Department on the blueprints within the County is what the Developer is obligated to install.

Unfortunately many times marketing is used where they are not truthful and the blueprints that were recorded are something totally different. I would take a trip to the County and ask to see what is on file. If you see that the parking spaces are duly recorded, go to the Developer and tell him that he has to place them there.

The Town/County officials would back up the HOA in accordance with the recorded documents.
