I see hundreds of pages of topics and surely some questions have been asked before.

Is there a way to search this forum? I'm not seeing it.

Two ways:

1) Click on the search icon (magnifying glass with the word Search) located under the yellow banner and just to the right of "go to list of discussion topics"

2) Do an internet search starting with HOATalk

Example: HOATalk Reserves

Unfortunately, this forum's search feature is very weak.

One can use google to search the forum as follows (assume someone wants to see what the forum has said about "selective enforcement"):

"selective enforcement" site:hoatalk.com

Unfortunately even this approach sometimes will not find discussions I know exist. I think the software the site uses is somewhat antiquated.

One gets what one pays for.

Thanks!!

I didn't see that magnifying glass search. Right there. Too obvious.
I'm looking for a phrase not a single word and the search doesn't work well.

I've used google sometimes. I use the syntax

site:hoatalk.com "market lights"

Which works moderately well. The forum search, not so much.

It's hard to tell what forum software is being used here. I run a forum with 12,000 members and 300,000 posts using phpBB (which is free) and the search is much more powerful.
